What “Steam account value” can—and cannot—mean
A public Steam library reveals owned titles and recorded playtime, but it does not reveal receipts, gifts, bundle allocations, refunds, or regional purchase prices. Any site claiming to know exact lifetime spend from a public profile is estimating.
GamersPilot therefore shows a replacement-cost estimate, price coverage, the value of games with zero recorded playtime, and cost per recorded hour. The uncertainty stays visible beside the result.
Frequently asked questions
How is my Steam account value calculated?
GamersPilot reads the games exposed by a public Steam profile, matches available titles to current US Steam Store prices, and estimates uncovered titles from the priced sample. The result reports its price coverage.
Is this how much I spent on Steam?
No. Steam does not expose purchase receipts through the public library API. This is a current replacement-cost estimate, not actual spending or resale value.
Why is part of the value estimated?
Large libraries, delisted games, regional restrictions, bundles, and Steam request limits prevent every price from being known immediately. The calculator displays exact coverage instead of hiding that uncertainty.
Do free-to-play games increase the estimate?
No. Games that Steam identifies as free contribute zero to the current and full-retail estimates.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Paste a public profile URL, custom Steam URL, or SteamID64. Your Game details privacy setting must be Public.
