Terms of Service
The short version: sign in with Steam, we rank your library, Premium is optional and billed through Polar, cancel anytime, delete your account anytime, don't abuse the service. The full version follows.

1. What GamersPilot is
GamersPilot is a planning tool for your existing game library. It reads the public data your Steam privacy settings expose — game titles and playtime — and ranks it with deterministic, rules-based scoring so you can decide what to play next.
GamersPilot is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation or Epic Games, Inc. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation; Epic Games and the Epic Games Store are trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. Game titles, artwork, and metadata belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification purposes only.
Where we show third-party offers — such as games currently free on the Epic Games Store — we display publicly available information and link you to the provider's own store page. We do not sell, distribute, or grant any game, we take no part in the transaction, and offer details (including availability and end dates) come from the provider and can change or be wrong at any time. Always confirm on the provider's page before relying on an offer.
2. Your account
You sign in through Steam's own OpenID flow. We never receive or store your Steam password. You are responsible for the security of your Steam account itself, which lives entirely with Valve.
You must be old enough to hold a Steam account under Valve's terms and old enough to consent to these terms in your country. One person per account; don't share sessions.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
The core service is free. Premium is an optional paid subscription, billed through Polar, which acts as merchant of record. Polar handles your payment details, taxes, and invoices — we never see your card.
Prices are shown at checkout before you pay. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in Settings; Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.
Refund requests are handled through Polar. If something went wrong on our side — you were charged but Premium never activated — contact us and we will make it right.
4. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no scraping or bulk-harvesting other people's data through it, no attempts to bypass rate limits, authentication, or entitlement checks, no probing for vulnerabilities against production without asking us first, and no reselling access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or attempt to defraud it. You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings, which permanently erases your data.
5. The service is provided as-is
We work hard to keep GamersPilot accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Rankings are decision support, not promises — free-status labels, scores, and playtime data depend on third-party sources (chiefly Steam) that can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong.
We may change, add, or remove features. If a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will say so before your next renewal.
6. Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GamersPilot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose — which is zero if you use the free tier.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing reduces consumer rights you hold under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
7. Privacy
What we collect, why, and how to erase it is covered in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes affecting paid plans, notify you before your next renewal. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
