Frequently asked questions
When does Steam Replay 2026 come out?
Valve has not announced a date. Every edition so far has launched between December 16 and December 27, and the last three landed between December 16 and 18, so mid-December 2026 is the pattern to expect โ close to the Steam Winter Sale, which starts on December 17, 2026.
What does Steam Replay count?
Playtime from January 1 through December 14 of that year. Anything you play in the second half of December is left out of that year's recap, and offline playtime and tools are not counted.
How do I open my Steam Replay?
Once it is live, open store.steampowered.com/replay while signed in, or use the Steam Replay banner on the store front page. Past years stay available from the same page.
Can I see my Steam stats before Replay comes out?
Yes. Steam Replay only covers one calendar year and only appears in December. GamersPilot's Steam Wrapped builds an all-time recap from your library at any time of year: total playtime, most-played games, and how much of your library you have never opened.
Does Steam Replay show how much I spent or my unplayed games?
No. Replay is about what you played. Total spend is on Steam's own account page (help.steampowered.com/accountdata/AccountSpend), and unplayed games are what a backlog calculator shows.
