How a round plays out

Pick the game pool
Choose 8 or 16 verified Steam games from your library or by name and App ID. That pool feeds every round's answer and decoys.

Add the overlay to OBS
Paste the private browser-source link into OBS, SE.Live, or StreamElements. The blurred cover, the four options, and the timer render into your scene.
- Step 3
Open a round
The cover appears masked. Chat answers with a number. Only the answer count moves on screen — the distribution stays sealed.
- Step 4
Hint, then reveal
Uncover the art up to three steps if chat is stuck, then reveal to show the correct answer, the split across all four options, and who is leading.
The answer is hidden where it actually counts
Most guess-the-game overlays leak the answer twice over: the Steam image URL contains the game's app ID, and the cover art usually has the title printed on it. A CSS blur fixes neither — a viewer just opens the image. Here the cover is proxied so no app ID reaches the browser, and the blur is applied on the server. If the masking ever fails, the round shows no image at all rather than a readable answer.

How does the Twitch chat quiz work?
A blurred Steam cover appears on your overlay with four game titles. Viewers answer by typing 1, 2, 3 or 4 in Twitch or Kick chat — or !a, !b, !c, !d. When you reveal the round, the correct answer, the full answer distribution, and the chat leaderboard appear on stream.
Can chat see how everyone else answered before the reveal?
No. Only the total number of answers is shown while a round is open. The per-option counts stay sealed until you reveal, so nobody can simply copy the majority.
Can viewers cheat by inspecting the page?
The cover art is served through GamersPilot instead of the Steam CDN, because the Steam image path contains the game's app ID — which would give away the answer. The image is also blurred on the server, not with a browser filter, so opening the image directly does not unmask it.
Can I give chat a hint?
Yes. While a round is open you can press Show a hint up to three times. Each press uncovers the cover one step further. The hint level is enforced on the server, so a viewer cannot request a sharper image than you have released.
Where do the games come from?
Your own synced Steam library plus the verified Steam catalogue. You pick a pool of 8 or 16 games and the quiz draws each round's answer and its three decoys from that pool, so a game is never the answer twice.
How is the chat leaderboard built?
Each chat account gets one answer per round, with a short change cooldown and a capped number of changes. Correct answers add one point. Chat display names pass through the same moderation used on the public Arcade leaderboards before they render on stream.
Does the streamer play too?
You can answer once per round from your own control screen by clicking an option. Your answer is shown separately and never enters the chat leaderboard, and your own chat messages are not counted as viewer answers.
Is the chat quiz free?
Yes. Connecting Twitch or Kick, building the pool, running the rounds, the hints, the overlay, and the chat leaderboard are all free. Premium never buys a stronger answer or a better score.
