For streamers

Let Twitch or Kick chat pick the next game you stream.

Build a bracket from real Steam games, open a match, and let chat vote it down to one winner on stream. Votes come from signature-verified Twitch and Kick events, so the bracket is decided by your audience instead of whoever spams fastest.

How a chat game tournament runs

  1. Step 1

    Connect the channel once

Approve GamersPilot on Twitch or Kick. Chat events then arrive signed, timestamped, and de-duplicated, so a replayed or forged message cannot become a vote.

  2. Step 2

    Build the bracket

Pick games from your synced Steam library or search the verified Steam catalogue by name or App ID. Every entry is checked against the real Steam record before it enters the bracket.

  3. Step 3

    Add the overlay to OBS

Copy the private browser-source link into OBS, SE.Live, or the StreamElements overlay editor. The bracket, the live vote counts, and the timer render straight into the scene.

  4. Step 4

Open the match and play the winner

Chat types the option number, the counts update live, and the winning game advances. The final match names the game you start that night.

Why the vote count is worth showing on stream

A poll only helps if the number on screen is real. These rules are enforced on the server, not in the browser.

RuleWhat it prevents
One vote per chat accountA second message changes the pick instead of adding a vote.
Verified provider events onlySignature, timestamp window, and event-ID replay are all checked server-side.
No paid vote weightSubs, donations, moderators, bots, and Premium all count exactly one.
Match-window scopedA message sent before the match opened never carries into the next round.
Streamer separatedYour chat messages are not viewer votes; you vote once from the control screen.
Read-only public viewThe shared tournament page cannot change state โ€” only the owner can.

One limit is honest to state: Twitch and Kick publish no shared identity, so the same person can vote once on each platform. Restricting a tournament to a single platform is the reliable way to close that gap.

The overlay is a browser source, not a screen share

Each tournament gets a private overlay URL with its own token. Paste it into OBS, SE.Live or the StreamElements overlay editor as a Browser Source and the bracket renders transparently over gameplay. The public tournament page never displays that URL, and viewers who open the public page get a read-only view.

Already have a Steam backlog to draw from?

The bracket is far more interesting when it is built from games you actually own and never played. Measure the pile first, then seed the tournament from it.

Frequently asked questions

How does a Twitch chat game tournament work?+

You build a bracket of Steam games, open a match, and chat votes by typing the option number in Twitch or Kick chat. When the timer ends the winner advances, and the final match decides the game you play that stream.

Do I have to give up my Twitch or Kick password?+

No. You click Connect once and approve GamersPilot on Twitch's or Kick's own authorization page. No password, Client ID, or Client Secret is shared, and you can revoke the connection from the provider at any time.

Can viewers vote more than once?+

No. Votes arrive only through signature-verified provider events, and each chat account gets one active vote per match with a short cooldown and a capped number of changes. Subscriptions, donations, and Premium never change vote weight.

Can I show the tournament in OBS?+

Yes. Every tournament has a private overlay link you add to OBS, SE.Live, or StreamElements as a Browser Source. The link carries its own token, is never printed on the public page, and should not be shown on stream.

Can the streamer vote too?+

Yes, once. While a match is open you can click a game card on your own control screen to cast a single normal vote. Clicking again changes your pick instead of adding another vote, and your own chat messages are not counted as viewer votes.

Which games can go into the bracket?+

Any game in your synced Steam library, plus any verified Steam catalogue entry found by name or App ID. Free-text entries are rejected: the title and App ID are validated against the Steam record on the server.

Is it free?+

Yes. Connecting Twitch or Kick, running 8- and 16-game brackets, the basic overlay, and chat voting are free. Premium adds overlay branding and themes, saved event templates, longer result history, analytics, and co-host controls โ€” never stronger votes.
