What does GamersPilot actually do?+
It ranks the Steam games you already own and tells you which one to play tonight, using transparent rules-based scoring. Around that core it adds free library calculators, price and all-time-low tracking, taste analysis, a yearly Wrapped, a mini-game arcade built from your library, and Twitch/Kick chat games for streamers.
Which features work without signing in?+
The Steam Backlog Calculator, the Steam Account Value Calculator, the Steam ID Finder, the achievement statistics dataset, the game deals pages, and the public game catalogue all work on a public Steam profile with no account. Ranking, Mood Matrix, Gaming DNA, Wrapped, wishlist alerts and the Arcade need a Steam sign-in.
Is the recommendation AI-generated?+
No. Ranking is deterministic and rules-based: fixed weights, fixed tie-breakers, and an explanation for every result. Plain-language input is parsed into those same filters, so the sentence chooses the settings but the engine still produces the answer.
What is free and what is premium?+
Free covers Steam library sync, the backlog dashboard, the core ranking presets, Backlog Roulette, all the no-login calculators, the chat games, and 6 daily Arcade lives. Premium is $2.99/month or $24.99/year and adds deeper planning modes, more saved setups and filters, priority sync, wishlist alerts, the weekly digest, and unlimited Arcade play.
Does GamersPilot support stores other than Steam?+
Not yet. Library sync is Steam-only today. Price data covers multiple stores, and the free-games feed includes Epic, but the ranking engine reads a Steam library.
Do I have to give up my Steam password?+
No. Sign-in uses Steam's own OpenID page and returns only your public Steam identity. No password, and no launcher credentials, ever reach GamersPilot.
